Vehicle damage claim settles for £2,780
Boyd Rice Solicitors were instructed to act on behalf of Mr B in relation to his claim in respect of damage to his car. Our client instructed that he was dropping his brother off at his apartment in the Titanic Quarter, Belfast when a large piece of decking blew from a 6th floor corner apartment and impacted with the roof of our client’s vehicle causing significant damage.
Our client’s vehicle was assessed and was deemed a total loss leaving our client without a vehicle.
The case resolved in our client’s favour through discussions with the insurance company acting on behalf of the apartment block. Our client received £2,780 which included compensation in respect of the pre-accident value of his vehicle, compensation for loss of use of his vehicle during the case and also reimbursement of the cost of recovering his vehicle following the incident.
Following the successful conclusion of his claim our client commented as follows;
