Neil manages the Litigation Department in Boyd Rice Solicitors. He has extensive experience in dealing with all types of injury claims and handles a caseload comprising of road traffic accident claims, accident at work claims and hearing loss claims. Neil has also developed a niche in acting for clients who have been attacked by dogs and has developed a niche area of expertise in this regard.

Neil is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

Outside of work, Neil enjoys spending time with his young family, golf and football.

Ben manages the Property Department in Boyd Rice Solicitors and has overseen a rapid expansion of our work in this practice area in recent years. Ben has enjoyed a wide and varied legal career which has encompassed time as a barrister and at a major international law firm before arriving at Boyd Rice Solicitors.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys running, football and film.

Una graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast with an Honours degree in Law and Politics, having spent one year studying in America under the Business Education Initiative.

Una qualified as a Solicitor in September 2007. After qualification Una travelled to Australia and New Zealand. There she worked in prestigious law firms such as Norton Rose in Sydney. Upon returning home to this jurisdiction Una focused on Family Law and Matrimonial Law.

Una joined Boyd Rice Solicitors in 2020 and specialises in separation and divorce cases as well as financial settlements and civil partnerships. She has experience in all Domestic Violence proceedings and Children Order matters both public and private law.

Una is a long standing member of the Children Order Panel which is a specialist panel of Children Order Solicitors approved and accredited by the Northern Ireland Law Society.

In 2018 Una was appointed to another specialist panel namely the Northern Ireland Guardian Ad Litem Agency Panel. This allows Una to represent children in Public Law proceedings pursuant to the Children (NI) Order 1995.

In addition, for several years Una has worked with North Down Women’s Aid. She was on the Board of Directors and also acted as secretary on this Board. In addition she attends monthly workshops run by North Down Women’s Aid. This allowed her to provide advice and assistance to women and their children at a most vulnerable time in their lives.

David joined the firm in August 2020. He has wide and long experience extending over a period of thirty years, much of it in property and conveyancing matters of all kinds, having acted for private individuals, partnerships, developers and corporate clients.

Within the Probate and Wills Department of the firms he deals with wills, the administration of estates, enduring powers of attorney, and controllership matters.

Sharon joined the firm in July 2021 having qualified as a solicitor in 1990.

Sharon is also a member of the Children’s Order Panel which is a specialised panel of solicitors working on children’s cases.

Outside of work Sharon enjoys walking, yoga and gardening.

Pattiann Keenan

Pattiann graduated from Newcastle University with honours in Accounting and Law before completing a Master of Laws in Human Rights Law and Discrimination at Queen’s University, Belfast. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in September 2002 and has gained over twenty years’ experience within general practice.

Pattiann joined the Litigation Department in Boyd Rice Solicitors in September 2022.

Over the past decade Pattiann has specialised exclusively in personal injury matters achieving both successful and efficient outcomes for clients in the County Court and High Court in Northern Ireland.

Outside of work, Pattiann enjoys walking, swimming and travelling.

Harrison began his career in 2011 working in a general practice and handling a wide variety of cases including road traffic accidents, accidents at work and slips/trips/falls

Upon qualifying as a Solicitor in 2018, Harrison gained employment in one of Belfast’s leading Defence Litigation Firms. Within the firm, he handled high-value catastrophic injury cases and Asbestos/Mesothelioma claims. Harrison was then allocated a lead role in defending disease claims with a particular focus on Noise Induced Hearing Loss and Tinnitus claims on behalf of some of the largest Insurance Companies in the United Kingdom. He has also experience in acting in employers’ liability/ public liability claims and RTA/Credit Hire claims.

Harrison has now joined the team at Boyd Rice and will head up our Disease Team which continues to grow year on year.

In his spare time, Harrison enjoys going to the gym and MMA training.

Harrison’s main area of expertise lies in the niche area of Industrial Disease/Hearing Loss and Tinnitus cases.

Natalie was admitted to the roll of solicitors in 2016. She comes from a general practice background, having gained extensive experience in conveyancing, probate and varied litigation including personal injury, medical negligence and financial disputes, in particular achieving 5 or 6 figure sums in compensation for mortgage mis-selling claims.

Enduring Powers of Attorney – it is advisable to have an Enduring Power of Attorney set up when you make a Will to ensure someone is appointed to look after your affairs in the event of mental incapacity. Controllerships – in the event of there being no Enduring Power of Attorney, Natalie can assist you in making an application to the Court to be appointed as controller for a family member who has lost capacity to allow you to manage their assets and finances. She will advise you on your responsibilities and what this entails.

Julie graduated from Dundee University with an Honours Degree in Law and attended the College of Law in York.

Julie remained in England working initially within the Personal Injury Department of a general practice firm, handling a variety of claims, to include RTA’s, trips and slips and accidents at work.

Following her qualification as a solicitor in 2005 she worked within the litigation department of a large legal practice specialising in injury claims arising from Road Traffic Accidents.

On returning home, Julie worked for a multi-national insurance company handling motor and property damage cases in addition to all types of personal injury claims.

With experience both pursuing and defending personal injury claims she has a well rounded knowledge of this area of law.

Outside of work Julie enjoys outdoor activities with her children and walks with her dog.

Janeen graduated from Queens University Belfast with an Honours Degree in Law and attended the College of Law in Chester. She qualified as a solicitor in 2010.

Janeen joined the property department in Boyd Rice in January 2024 having previously worked in two other respected local practices for over 18 years, gaining extensive experience predominantly in residential conveyancing. She is a pragmatic, meticulous, highly motivated and personable solicitor who prides herself in providing an excellent service to all clients.

Janeen advises on all aspects of residential conveyancing to include:- sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, site purchases and Co-Ownership transactions to first time buyers, home owners and buy to let investors.

Demi graduated with honours in Business Studies at Liverpool John Moores University before developing an interest in Conveyancing & Property Law at a large regional law firm. She joined Boyd Rice Solicitors in June 2022.

Demi works predominantly in the Property department, working alongside our Conveyancing Solicitors guiding clients through the purchase and sale processes.

Outside of work Demi enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and staying active.
